How much money have you made off of your websites?

Personally, if you subtract the money I have spent from the money I have earned, I would have a negative number for my revenue total. I have not really made anything off of my websites. Clearly, I need to work on monetizing my websites.

So, what about you? How much money have you made?

At this time, no money has been made from AdminsRealm as we are still currently working our way up the ladder to success. Hopefully in the future we will get members to kindly donate to us but until then, we will just continue to run off of the money we make on our own.

I've never monitized my forum even though I technically could.

I have never asked for money on a forum. I don't believe in charging members or really even asking for donations, when its free to use anyway... I know it can get special little features like a domain, no ads, and what not but I still don't think the members should be charged for that. As the admin I would invest my own money for something like that. Besides the cost is piratically nothing compared to a forum which you would have to pay for... hosting and everything.

I do have the option on my forum for those to donate, but only if they wish it is that option there. I have never actually ASKED for a donation, nor will I ever do so. If a donation was made, it would go directly to forum features and that is all.

I do not have any desire to make any money off of my forum--it is there for fun, relaxation, conversation, art, and role-play. If I wanted to make money, I'd not be doing it from a forum, I suspect and would probably try different methods.

I've never been good at monetizing my websites at all. Only recently did I learn that many of these Webmaster forums actually can generate a good amount of revenue from advertisements. When I was owning websites left and right, my revenue was always in the negatives, and I did it just for the fun.

I'll have to see if I can do something about that.

I haven't made any money off my forum but that's 'cause the forum I operate is free to use and I don't make members pay for anything. I've never even asked for donations at all. If I did, I would do it the same way Leah7 is doing. I don't believe in making anyone pay for their membership on my forum but if they wanted to donate to the forum then I would put that money back into the forum or offer that member some kind of special reward or benefits for donating.
