Is anyone here currently reading anything?  If so, would you care to share it here?  

I'm currently reading several things at the moment.  For instance:  

• I'm in the middle of reading 'The Last Apprentice' series by British author Joseph Delaney.  'The Sunday Times' (London) says it is "Ideal for the reader who has outgrown Harry Potter".  You should check it out if you like reading 'spooky' or 'scary' books.

• I'm also in the middle of reading 'Locke & Key' by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.  I don't normally read comics but this one is very good (if I say so myself).

• Another series I'm in the process of reading is the Horus Heresy series written by various authors such as, but not limited to, Dan Abnett, Ben Counter, Graham McNeill, Mike Lee, James Swallow, etc.

• And last but not least, is the Merlin saga by T. A. Barron.  You're probably thinking, "Not another Merlin book.  Don't we have enough of those already?"  I promise you that this is not your typical story about Merlin.  This series takes place way before the events at Camelot.

I am currently not reading any book right now. The last book that I read though would have been The Narrative Life of Fredrick Douglas. It is a very inspirational book about a african american slave, born a slave without any knowledge of his current family. He lives in the time where slaves are permitted to learn but he went above and beyond to learn.

I enjoy reading some interesting books. One of the best is Lord of the Rings. It's perfect.

@Jadster I've never heard of that book but it sounds very interesting. I may have to check that out when I have a little free time.

@Mr. Panos I've read the Lord of the Rings books, although it was quite a while back when I read them. I agree, they are good books. Do you like the books or the movies better?

Hmm... I tried to read the Lord of the Rings a while back... I am afraid I found them terribly boring though and couldn't make it more than half way through the first. I do love the movies however.

Otherwise I am currently not reading a book... I did just finish one though. I believe it was called 'Sophie's World'. It's a novel about the history of philosophy. Sounds terribly boring and admittedly it was at parts... But over all I liked it.

If you don't mind me asking...do you read for fun or was the reading for an assignment at school?

I read all the Harry Potter and Lord of the rings books. Although, books with fantasy and spiritual writing interests me more!

I read it for fun. Though if I was still in school and it had been an assignment I would have still enjoyed it. I honestly can't think of an assigned book I haven't enjoyed.


I read the Harry Potter books. Those ones I did enjoy. And though I am a little ashamed to admit it I have read Twilight as well... and sadly... also kind of enjoyed it...   

@Marios94 I've read the Harry Potter series and have enjoyed them as well. If you liked the Harry Potter series, then you might try the Merlin saga that I mentioned in my original post.

@Selvester Same here. I don't recall not liking a book that I had to read for school. I've always enjoyed reading, even if it was part of an assignment. I've enjoyed the Harry Potter series and the Twilight series as well. Have you seen any of the Harry Potter or Twilight series?

Same. ^-^ Even if it was something everyone else seemed to hate I couldn't help but enjoy it...

And yes. I have seen the movies to bother series. I liked the Harry Potter ones but thought the Twilight ones were terrible. I had actually seen the first twilight movie before reading the book which is why I was partly hesitant to read the book. I'm just glad it was better than the movie.

I'm reading "Innocence" by Dean Koontz as well as "Dead Witch Walking" by Kim Harrison--two of my most favorite authors. <3

Oh gosh I don't think I have picked up a book any time recently... I really should fix that. That just means I have to start what will turn into a weeks long witch hunt for the right book. XD I can be a tad picky.
